Impatiens flowers?

Question:I planted a lot of different colored impatien flowers in my garden this year and I've notice that after they bloom the color starts bleaching out of the blooms. It doesn't happen on all the plants or on all the blooms but it is more noticable on the the more vivid colors. I've grown these plants before and I've never seen them do this.

Anybody know what is causing this and if anything can be done?

Answers:
May be too much sun, impatiens like alot of shade. Intense sun will fade flowers.

It could be the Variety; alittle too much sun & hot weather, -or even a chemical reaction (something you sprayed on your flowers or lawn for some reason...). Every growing season seems to have its OWN set of vagarities... Keep an eye on it. -The problem might resolve itself.
I think it is to much sun. I am having the same problem with mine.
