I have roman sailors in my yard and the more i mow them the more they grow how can i get rid of them?

I am not positive of this but when was the last time you put lime on your soil? If you have it tested you will find out what your pH is and it should be around 6.5. Pretty sure the additon of lime will help. Use pelletized it works faster and liquid lime is even better than that. It works in a little over a week. Hope it helps.
