Do birds feed off pea plants ?

Question:I am growing peas, they are approx 1-2 ft tall and I noticed from my window the birds showing considerable interest in the plants, they appeared to be pecking them ?

Answers:
Sparrows eat the flowers, pigeons eat the peas and bluetits eat the blackfly.

Most certainly will eat your produce.
My Mother loves to eat them too but usually to early so my Dad who's the grower moans alot...
So my mum blames the birds,
but my dad replies "they are really clean birds because they put the empty pods in the bin " lol
Yes pigeons are the worst, they can even find a newly sown pea in the ground and eat it. Bird netting or an air rifle are best solutions.
