Citrus plant hates the sun?
Question:I Have a 30 year old citrus tree that was being neglected by my father and almost died. I plantnapped it and it spent almost a year indoors in southern exposure coming back beautifully. Then it happily spent the summer in full sun. But because of some construction when I brought the plant back inside, it had to go to an indirect, yet bright light spot. This year I put it ouside in its sunny spot and within days, the eastern facing leaves are turing silver/white. Can this be Light bleaching? On a citrus? Because It 's not used to direct light? Not getting alot of info on the internet. If it is, other than moving it to a shadier spot, how can I help this plant recover?

Hi, if the leaves are that color, it sounds like it's sun-burnt.The only thing I can think of is to introduce it gradually back into the sun. There's no reason a citrus tree couldn't take full sun. It's just not used to it right now. If you can, put it on a plant dolly so it could be wheeled around. Good luck to you both Bye
My oarnge bush (or tree) loves sun and water but not palm bushes. I Hope The Plant Lives!
Plants suffer from drastic changes. If it was indoors then you have to "harden" it by taking it outdoors for short periods, gradually increasing it's outdoor life. It needs to slowly get accustomed to it's new environment.
I agree move it slowly into bright sunlight
