What do you think of deforestation?
Question:What's your point of view of deforestation? Do you think we should cut down trees to satisfy our needs and wants? Do you think we should preserve the wilderness untouched?
Answers:
it is sad when trees are cut and not replanted. i have seen this too many times.but alas we will keep cutting trees ! i think we need to do more control burning to cut down on the fuel that builds up.when we get a lighting strik and it desrrols thousands of acres of forest .that is whats happening right now in georga & florida. there are more trees growing in the u.s. than there were 100 to 200 years ago.
with technology now, i think there's alternatives to using real wood..leave the forests alone..i think the provision of oxygen far outweighs the other benefits wood provides. There's also the habitat of wild species that we're destroying in the process. Where will all the wild animals live, in our zoos?? There was a time when wood was necessary, but not any more. Stop deforestation.
I think that the world has come to a point that we are too set in our ways and it is destroying the very reason we are alive-this earth and its "resources". I do not think that deforestation is right, but I do beleive that its the fastest ticket to all life on earth degrading to the point of, well, the plot of the matrix movies...
The loss of Forest and Woodland habitat is an alarming situation. To destroy the Planet and its inhabitants, for burgers and coffee tables, proves that we have less sense than the wildlife we destroy for profit.
