Need a small bush two metres high for a dark dry corner?

Question:would like something compact, giving winter colour or evergreen to grow in rain shadow in a small space in a cold, sunless corner alongside a porch.

Answers:
I grow Euonymus bushes they can be cut to any height and come in green/gold, green/white. I grow them on Cotswold 'scrabble' (very stoney) and they thrive. Very quick growing too.
