I started building my new home two years ago. I shopped around and decided to purchase your largest motorized awning. I want you to know despite what your advertising says, it took me two years to find someone to attempt to install it for me. We had numerous construction, roofing and awning companies come out only to say they did not want to attempt installing this "huge monster". We finally found Covers Unlimited Inc. in Horn Lake, Mississippi listed as the only independent authorized dealer in our area. (100 miles from our home.) They were very nice and came about 200 miles round-trip to install the awning. They had to purchase special anchors not included with the awning. This cost us additional money right away. They said there was not hardware in the packaging with the awning. As soon as they pulled out of our driveway, the awning fell off the wall and took some brick with it! They came back a few days later and we had to buy some additional even larger anchors from Home Depot. The website says the motorized awning can be installed directly onto any siding without a board. Finally, our awning was up! The installers said they would NEVER install another one of these awnings! The next day, we could hear a strange sound when we were opening the awning. We looked up and saw a hole torn in the awning. It was small at first so we just paid for two patching kits from Sunsetter. Within the next few days, the hole got larger and larger! It seems to be tearing every time we put the awning out! It looks like the rotor bar is warped and the awning catches on a bracket bolt as it is unwinding. The rotor bar should not be warped since it remained in the packaging until it was installed. In addition, it did not come with the wand for manual operation. The instructions said it was included, but we had to order the wand from Sunsetter and had to pay for it. Your customer service toll-free number is a joke. They want us to buy a new rotor bar for about $250! We should not have to buy anything we need to fix this thing! We just had it installed! I want some help here!

I want the awning repaired or replaced at no cost to me.

goes anyway.has anyone had any experience with Sunsetter Retractable
Awnings? We are thinking of installing an awning over our patio and are
considering a local company and Sunsetter, but we would like to get decent
quality for our hard earned money.
I've read only a couple opinions on Sunsetter, but they were not very
recent. Any input would be most welcome. Thanks to all..
