I am in iraq and the flies are killer. what is a good indoor fly repellent. tried sticky paper, to many flies?

ooh-rah, keep up the fight! i'd kill one of the bad guys and drag his nasty body about 50 to 100 feet from ur barracks or tent and they'll go after him instead of u guys!

I would think flies would be the last thing to worry about when you are in Iraq.

I started looking at some of these sites but decided to just give you the page. You'll know what's best for your situation. I'd steer clear of those electronic ones. I hear they don't work.Maybe you can get those bug repellent candles and lots of flypaper?

You need a clean, empty one gallon milk container. Be sure to keep the cap. Cut four or five small holes all around about two inches down from where it starts to slope towards the cap big enough for the fly to go in (about where the center of the handle is.) Mix 1/4-cup syrup or sugar and 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar or vinegar and pour into container. Fill to halfway with water and put on cap. You can use a jar with hole in the lid. Throw them away and make new ones. Experiment : Old fruit will attract gnats. You may have to use raw meat for those flies.Also if you sprinkle Cinnamon around the dirt they'll stay away too. Thanks for being there. iwas there in Desert Storm and all you could do was the "Baghdad Wave". Eat with one hand always waving in the air. I'm with you man, flies are everywhere. Sorry for no help, but I been there and that's just the way it is. When I was in Honduras, the locals that had a little eating place had big clear plastic bags of water hanging from the rafters. I asked and they told me the flies are attracted by the water( idon't know how, they can't smell it) and when they land on the bag, the light defraction lets them see their reflection on the other side of the bag except its a BIG fly. They see it, get scared, and move out most rikki tick. It seemed to work. Good luck and keep your head down and the bullet end forward.
