How do you "harden" seedlings that you have grown inside in preparation to move them outdoors?

Question:

Answers:
Move them in 3-4 stages to a spot where the conditions (light, heat) are similar to the great outdoors. A few days is all that will take. I usually let them sit in the garden spot for a day before I plant them in the earth.

Move them out of the house into a garage or carport and start letting them get some direct sunlight and learn to bend with the wind in a place that still gives some protection from frost at night.
