It could be a Hedgeapple..dont eat it !!
If it is a Hedgeapple they are great for keeping small rodents
and bugs out of your house.
And of course the tree is called a Hedge tree...Hedge trees
have very hard wood..they make great firewood.
Where are you located? The only thing I can think of that size is breadfruit. Google it and see if it looks like that.
That is a Horse Chestnut fruit tree.DO NOT EAT IT.,They are poisenous to us but deer, horse and cow and other larger animals can eat them without hurting them.We used to call them horse apples,until we really found out what horse apples are.
