Question:I've gotten soooooo carried away and inspired w/gardening this year :-)
Um, kinda out of stuff to plant at this point, so thought, okay-how about planting these seedings of carrots, and hopefully they'll come up and be ready to harvest by the end of october?

The farmer's almanac says that a good day to plant carrots are July 1. I'll give you the direct link to the gardening page. Good Luck!!

Why would you plant carrots what did they do to you. your supposed to add them to your salad gee must be a blond thing
nope, plenty of time , go right ahead . They are frost-tolerant ,& can be eaten at any stage , so don't have the time constraints of other crops . You can probably plant right up to about 1st week in August .
Not sure what zone you're in but carrots are easy so that shouldn't matter too much. I'm in zone 5 and just put my carrot seed down just over a week ago. Seedlings are already up for about 2 days now. I say go for it.
