If u carved ur initials on the trunk of the tree, will it still be on the same spot 30 yrs from now?

Question:where will u look for it? 10 pts at stake!!

Answers:
Our last family reunion was held at a park where my great grandmother and great grandfather had their wedding 100 years earlier. We found their initials in a heart carved in an old tree, that was so cool! So, like the other answers, yes, you will be able to see them! The only other thing at that park from that time was the remains of an old fountain. So neat seeing the way history preserves itself!

Yep, same spot, unless the tree gets chopped down!
(trees grow from the top)
yes, the trunk doesn't elongate, growth is only at the tips. However if the tree has a corky bark it will be grown over. Smooth bark trees like aspen and birch would still show the wound for years, if infection doesn't get in there and kill the tree.
It will most likely be their, it may be a bit faded from weathering but most likely you will be able to read it!
Yes. But don't deface a tree...pay to get your initials on a brick at some charity site.
yea the bark will not grow backi carved my initials into a tree about 8 years ago it is still there
Yes, bigger and fatter. You can't miss it!
