How long does it take for a red delicious apple tree to produce?

Question:i just bought one..its about 5 and a half to 6 ft tall, so im guessing its about a yr old?.

Answers:
About 4 to 5 years but a Red Delicious requires you have 2 trees, 1 will not have apples by itself.
