I have a beautiful bottle neck shrub that i'd like to duplicate. Is it possible? It's like a mini tree 5" tall

Question:If I can't do this then can I dig it out to take to my new house?

Answers:
Yeah, we got one too. they are beaut aren't they?
think they are actually called bottle brush, but no matter.

Don't dig up during flowering season, you'll be fortunate to get away with it unless you keep half the garden round its roots.

You can take cuttings from them in early spring.

- if you dig it up make sure you dig up plenty of area around the roots and water in well when you replant at new location.
Yes, my mom did this with her bottle brush. Just cut off a couple branches and put them into a rooting solution. You can purchase the rooting solution at just about any nursery.
It takes about 2 -4 weeks for the roots to develope. When they do, you can plant it in soil.
G'luck
Well you cvould dig it up to take it with you as they are very nice.
However, you could aslo just take a cutting to plant. simply cut one of the branches at the base and plant it in your new home.It should grow just as lovely as the current one. it will take a while to get to the same height though.
