Question:

Answers:
i believe its a fruit because it has seeds in it

technically it's a fruit
I do believe that technically they are fruits.
Technically it's a fruit, but it provides the nutrition of a vegetable.
scientifically it is a fruit because of the way the seeds and the way it buds. although for cooking purposes it is really a veggie.
A tomatoe is a fruit.
Both. When eaten in a salad its a veggie. When eaten plain or with a sweetner its a fruit.
Both. Never been an absolute answer. However:
My CAT declares it a FRUIT. She LOVES cooked veggies: corn, green beans, peas, carrots, spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, califlower, lima beans, etc... but refuses tomatoes.

Cooked veggies & cat food is it for her.
It's really a fruit, but get this, the US Supreme Court has ruled it a vegetable! Don't believe me ? Google it, it's a fact!! RScott
It is a fruit because we eat the the material surrounding the seeds. For vegetables we eat the seeds themselves. But the supreme court has ruled that it is a vegetable. So, are scientists right, or are lawyers and judges?
