How does a brick layer charge you when laying bricks?

Question:Do they charge you by sq.ft.

Answers:
A brick layer will charge you for the cost of the product (plus his markup), his labor and his time. Although not a skilled tradesman, I would say a good brick layer is worth his weight in gold if you want your work to last longer than you.

Generally material is one cost and labor is another. Material would be sq ft or per unit or such. Labor is generally by the hour.
by the sq. foot , and if its a complicated layout they may add charges for that

labor, materials , and design all figure into the price
