Could anyone please tell me why my portulacas (Chinese roses) keep growing, but never flower?

Question:These little plants usually are in continuous bloom!!

Answers:
U might have given them some fertilizer with too much nitrogen! ... the first number on the package! look for one with a hight second number which promotes blooms!

Make sure they have enough sunlight. Portulacas need sunlight to bloom, you will have noticed that they open up as the sun comes up and close towards evening. Portulacas also need very good drainage and do not particularly like the rains. Dont bother about fertilizer if you live in India, portulacas do just fine here without any feeding, but sunlight is an absolute must.
Portulacas need dry conditions and do best when planted in full sun in dry, sandy, stony soil. they still need a little moisture but not too much; if you grow them in very cool, wet or humid conditions they will not thrive and may not flower. in fact, flowers only open when the plants are in full sun, so plant them in a sunny bank or border.
