Rhododendrun Care?

Question:Does anyone out there know if the dead blooms of the rhododenrun bush should be trimmed off after blooming or to wait until fall

Answers:
I deadhead my Rhodies as soon as the majority of the blooms are wilted. They break off nicely at the ridges at the base of the blooms I'm no master gardener, but that's what Mom always did, and her Rhodies were gorgeous! Do you have a university extension office nearby? They would be great help.

Blooms for next year set up almost immediately after blooming. Do it before the leaves (which follow blooming) have come in. If you trim in the fall you will be cutting off next years blooms.
