Those Damn Squirrels?

Question:3 young squirrels are coming in to my garden about 10 times a day, digging up young plants, destroying my bird feeders and burying peanuts in my plant tubs.

Should I execute them?

Answers:
I will hear about this I'm sure, but in answer to your question YESSSSSS! I live with a small wood and creek behind my house, and I love and try to help out all the wildlife, which is quite varied, but I despise these blasted squirrels!! They chew through everything, steal every bite of food they can find, have made a home in the eave of my carport, raid the dog's bowl, tear up every bird feeder I have, defy the squirrel-proof ones, and dare me to do a thing. In retaliation, I got a BB rifle, but I was wounding them and not killing them, and that goes against the grain with me. Shoot to kill, kill to eat is what I was raised on, and I have eaten my fair share of squirrel and dumplings, but I don' t like shooting and only wounding. So I found a childhood toy... a nice slingshot that I used to be quite handy with. Found out I still am! I tag those squirrels now with jawbreakers (perfectly round makes the shooting smoother and more consistent, plus they don't kill, and they disintegrate with the rain! ) and have been smacking them in the flanks til now they must tell one another who's house to stay away from! LOL In my state, you can't trap and transport wild animals, it's against the law, so it's either live with them, or find a way to exterminate them. It's the only two (unfortunately both bad) real solutions you have!

sprinkle some ground cayenne pepper in the planters. They will vacate the area and leave your plants alone.
I would just shoot them is possible but if you live in town and can't shoot them try some Cayenne pepper
okay this really works . go to a feed store or any store that sells lawn ornaments and find an owl one that looks real and place it in your yard and make sure you turn it every other day and you wont have anymore problems with the squirrels they will think that an owl has invaded their turf and will leave . good luck and happy gardening .
