How To Get Rid Of Hornets Nest.?
Question:The nest is in my gas grill in my backyard. I have small children and this is of great concern to us because I read somewhere that if you have alot of hornets stinging you you could actually die is this true? Anyway if thats not true how do we get rid of them without spending alot of money?

I tried the new hornet spray that is a foam. Magic! It makes a lot of foam and the hornets get caught in it. Do it at night after all the little critters are inside. When they try to get out, they get caught in the foam.
Locate the hole in the bottom of the nest - that's where you spray - right into the hole. Keep on spraying as they fall out until there are no more coming or if the can is empty.
My nest was small, so it only took a little foam. It worked better than the 20-foot spray, cause they are caught in the foam and aren't flying around.
Even if you don't die from the stings, they hurt like the dickens. So just kill the little buggers. Just remember to do it late evening/night/early morning while they are still in the nest.

Wait until night and spray inside the grill with something like Raid Wasp & Hornet killer. Saturated the nest and then the next day, gently prod it (with spray can in hand) to make sure nothing is left alive in it. Scoop it out with a shovel and seal it into a garbage bag. Then wash out the grill with soap & water and leave open to air out.
go to someplace like walliworld or home depot and buy the wasp and hornet killer it sprays up to 20 FT so you don't have to be close.Soak the area where they get in, then once you think you killed most open the grill if they are inside, and soak the whole nest down or use a long stick to open it.
Wait a day or two to remove the nest, just to be sure they are dead! Please be very careful they are very agressive little creatures. Hope this helped.. and about the dying it is possible but kill them in any case because of their agression not like they are beneficial honeybees.
Go to a department store, grocery store or home center and buy wasp spray, it shoots a long way so you just shoot them and the nest.
Get some poison from a garden/home center, it works well.
Or- if the nest is in the pit of the BBQ, just roast it.
