Thinking about starting an orange plant from seed what do i do?

Question:i opened a can of manderine oranges and seen a seed or two. i thought about using the seeds to try growing a plant. do i need to do anything special with the seeds? what kind of luck did other people have with growing something like this?

Answers:
Those seeds are dead. They've been through the canning process which includes pasteurization. That is the process of heating the sealed can,( and its contents), to a temperature that will kill any bacteria in the food. The seeds have been cooked, and will not grow. You have a chance with seeds from fresh fruit from the produce section of the supermarket.
