How do you identify poison sumac growing in New England?

Question:

Answers:
Go to Google; type in Poison Sumac (images) it will show you all three poisonous plants; Sumac, Ivy, and ? I forget what the 3rd one is, but you will find it there.
I doubt the New England variety is different from any other state.

To identify Poison Sumac, look for the fruit that grows between the leaf and the branch. Poison sumac has white berries that hang down between the leaves. Nonpoisonous sumac, one variety known as Staghorn Sumac, has fruit growing from the ends of it's branches. Its berries are red.
same as anywhere else perhaps
