How long can grass go without water?

Question:it hasnt rained hardly at all in 6 weeks now.

Answers:
Don't worry about it grass is very tough and will recover when it starts to rain again.
After doing the dishes you could always use the dirty water on your grass, a little moisture goes a long way.

Grass is very hardy, it will recover when it starts to rain again!
I would'nt worry as our lawn had'nt had any water for about 2 months and the ground was cracking up, and of course the grass went totally brown. Then we finally had some rain and after a couple of days it started to get green again!
grass is rarely destroyed by drout when it appears dead, just wait till the season changes and it will recover
It's true. Your garden could look like a dustbowl but, as long as you don't go digging in it or wearing it down by playing football, etc, the grass should recover as soon as it gets enough water again. Don't worry about it.
grass is independent
in winter grass can go a pretty long time without water (months). In the hot summer after 6 weeks it will start to go brown, however don't despair it does recover really quickly!
Once again it depends o n rainfall in previous occasions..grass will grow for along time without water until a drought finally kills it.
