Is it easy to grow a peanut plant?

Question:How would you go about it? Does it take a lot of sun?

Answers:
it must be easy, because a squirrel hid one in my flower bed and when i moved some of the dirt away to see what plant it was,i saw a peanut plant growing from the shell! this bed was in the shade, and close to the water faucet, where water drips at times,so the ground was pretty wet.it must have been a real fluke.we live in the Seattle WA. area

Peanuts are roots, they grow under ground. My uncle used to grow them in his garden. Next to the tomatoes, or what ever. They seemed easy to grow, but you have to get fresh peanuts. You can't use roasted ones, they've been cooked and are dead. Most root type food is very easy to grow, and I think you will not have a problem.

Also, they are annuals. That means you plant new every year. It's not like a tree nut that blooms every year.
they are pretty eay to grow it sucks that you have to dig for the peanuts though
