How do you cut grass in a checker board formation?

Question:I want to cut my lawn in a checker board formation for fun. Does anyone know how to do that?

Answers:
First cut the lawn in a vertical line (the whole yard), then vertical again starting on a different corner, thats how I do it. It really looks nice.
