How can i attract deer to my back fence?

get ya 5 gallon bucket... fill it with some corn from a feed store, and once they get the smell of the corn, they'll come back to feed every so often! i do it, but i use a feeder which slowly feeds the corn out. these guys can go through some corn...trust me!

put down a salt block
A Deer-lick. It's mostly a bunch of salt on the ground. I don't know exactly how to make one, but they are called Deer-licks
Hunters use female deer urine to attract male deer. This would certainly work. Putting a salt lick there will keep them there when they see there is no female.
Plant a garden there. You won't be able to keep them away!

I did this and I would have about 20 deer in my year every evening. It was beautiful, but I now regret doing it, because I've had a major tick problem ever since.
I've since stopped luring them into my yard.

Start with a salt-lick... Cut and spread peaches and other fruits. They cannot resist peaches! Water is a plus also...

Hopefully it's only to admire their beauty! They have special grass seed that they refer to deer grass as it's a type of grass that deer like to eat. You can check the local nursery or sporting store (this is what hunters use to lure deer) or get it on-line. I put out apples, they love them. But that can be quite expensive if you have a lot of deer.
if you are just looking at the deer it is fine to put out the salt licks and such , but if you are a hunter in some areas that , comes with problem from the law . plant a strip of buck wheat , can be found at seed stores for farmers , or just plant some red clover , it will reseed itself and attract all kinds of wild life with it like rabbits and such , if you used the deer urine , which will smell .., it will also attract males and they will be fighting in your back yard , for sure and when they are fighting it doesn't matter what they destroy in their path .

Check with the wildlife dept. first. In some areas, it's illegal to do anything to attract them, so forget the salt lick. Planting buckwheat, as someone has suggested, is OK, because no one can prove that you did it for that specific reason.
Also, be careful what you wish for: if there's anything yummy in your yard, they will eventually get through the fence.
Why ? Everyone wants to know are you going to eat them?
If you have deer as you say then the whole point would be to encourage them to be as beautiful and secretive as possible.
Plus don't tell anyone, fragile creatures
Buy a salt block from your feed supply store(look in the yellow pages) They will come in the winter. In the summer they will not come unless they are in your area.
