How can I keep magpies out of my yard?

Question:Small urban lot, grass and trees, no other plants or flowers.

Answers:
Magpies are VERY smart birds. In the old days, they use to turn over the dung of bison looking for food (so that is why they like your dog poop!!). Keeping your dog poop cleaned up will help to keep them away!!

For more info on the birds see: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/programs/ur...

Their natural predators are owls and hawks.

Good Luck!!
