We just purchased a new home and it has a swimming pool that seems to have a spider issue, how can we get rid?

You aren't maintaining a high enough chlorine level. Maintain free/total chlorine at 3-5ppm and this will actually drive them off rather than attract them.
Actually.. water spiders are easy. Here in sweden.. you can buy something that poisons the water only to the spiders.. it causes no problem to humans.. but just to be safe dont go in for a week or more.. I dont know the brand name.. search it on yahoo!..
