Herbicide?
You've got a tomato worm, it's green and very fat and you should look on the undersides of each of the leaves to find it. It will drain the whole plant of nutrients and will eat the leaves and the plant eventually. It turns into a moth, but I can't remember which one.
usually it is from lack of water , sometimes its from lack of nutrients, we usually get some plant food for our tomatoes plants and we give it water every other day depending on how hot it is . we also don't water in mid day either morning or evenings.
Hi, I am sorry to say you are! you need to spend a little more time watering you plants carefully. Tomatoes are prone to poor watering habits. They need to be watered twice a day once the first truss has appeared and the paths in the green house need to be damped down when the temperature rises about 22 degrees C. tomatoes like people don't like to get their skin burned. If you are lucky enough to be growing them out of doors remember to wrap them up if the night temperature falls more then two degrees below the day time temperature. Its not the temperature but the regular changes in temperature which cause the problems in Britain. The flowers are very sensitive. Question How are they planted I presume you read up on them before you planted them and you are growing them in either rings or in growing bags.
Water standing around the stem at ground level will rot it. A good pest and disease book will tell you if you have something nasty like mildew. It should tell you if you need to remove the plants.
