How often should I water Basil in an outdoor garden in the northeast?

Question:

Answers:
I water mine every other day when it hasn't rained. I use about a half gallon of water poured around the base so it goes down to the roots without waste rather than using a sprinkler.

Does Basil want to be watered?
every other day is enough water for basil
Basil is an annual plant and will die in the northern states. It's a perennial in the south. You should pot it and put it in a window come autumn.
