There are loads of flowers that can take full sun. Probably too many to name here. You can check with your local garden center, check a gardening book or go online. Happy planting!
try zinnias, marigolds, petuias, dahlias, or most annuals. all do good in the sun.also check your local nurseries.
You didn't mention where you live, which is important because several hours of direct sun in a hot desert climate is really different than several hours of sun in a mild coastal climate. Most flowers can take direct sun, as long as you water them enough. In fact, it is more difficult to find attractive shade tolerant flowers.
That said, poppys and marigolds are attractive and will self seed. Just about any small decorative flower you get from any garden center in the little plastic six packs. For a larger plant, roses love sun. put one anywhere you get at least four hours of direct sun. Lilac also likes sun. Feverfew, mexican sunflower, all kinds of bulbs(tulips and dafodils for spring colour), daisies, the list is endless.
Dianthus are good full sun and come in many colored flowers, also Geranium is a beauriful flower and tolerates heat well.
Go for roses, I love them.
Marigolds are good in the heat .
Petunia's are another one .
Roses, hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, dahlias, vincas, and carnations are all that I can think of at this moment. Happy growing!
