How do you turn dirt into mud?

Question:I'm a bit of a novice gardener.

Answers:
I can tell. You can't make mud out of dirt.
Clay makes the best mud .

serious?

Add water
Just add water.
add water and stir. voila.. mud.
I think you missed a little fun as a kid, never making mud pies:)
Just add water
add water!
water thoroughly
You can't.

If your "dirt" is sandy, it remains like that. Mud is clay. Clay is a much more fine particle size.

If you need clay for crafts, etc., you're best off buying it like that. Heck I have so much in my backyard it is a hassle when you want to plant anything! Slippery when wet too...
add water
