Is the purchase of a garden tractor a negotiable price, or a hard price?
Question:And is there an average mark-up on these things?
I know how to buy cars, but this is my first "large yard implement" purchase, and I'm curious.
I'm looking at a JD 320 garden tractor.

o believe me they are definitely negotiable i just got a brand new john deere last year.and make sure you buy it from an actual jd dealership, the ones at home depot ARE NOT the same.
Most of the time in retail, the price is the price. It's worth asking, though. If it's at a normal store, the cashiers don't really have a choice, but then again, I don't know what kind of store you're buying it from. So go for it.
Usually the price is the price, but at the big boxes they will offer an extra 10% using their credit card, however the models at these store are not the same at the dealership which makes it hard to compare what you are actually getting. good luck.
