Japanees Beetles?

Question:Anyone have any organic solutions for the Japanees Beetle this year? All my flowering plants and taking a serious hit in my area of zone 7. Any solutions?

Answers:
not this time of year.. they are adults and are out to eat and reproduce.

treat your soil with Milky Spore.. it's a nematode that attacks the beetle grub in the soil.

Really, this pest is too tough for organic measures.. it takes serious poison to control them and if your neighbors don't go after them as aggressively, all of their beetles will fly over to your yard... sorry.

You can always try to trap as many as you can.. move the trap as far away from your house as you can and empty it every day.

Remember- one beetle killed is several thousand not in existence next year

Physically flipping them into a water jug works best for us. It's a bit of a pain and time consuning, but it works !
Nothing organic has ever worked for me. I get them bad every year. Have your trees professionally prayed or use Seven (found at any home improvement place). It works very well.
