Tiny green worm?

Question:I was cleaning my backyard when I found a small tiny green worm thing trying to dig into my skin. I flicked it off, and now I'm wondering what it is. It doesn't seem like a leech because I live in Illinois.

Answers:
The larvae stage of spittle bug is a tiny green worm. They usually live on foliage and form a little foam ball that looks like tiny bubbles.

Who cares? You flicked off. It's gone.
