When did you last cut the grass?
Question:I might cut it soon before it rains again.

Not an easy task, given the recent weather. I redesigned my front garden with a water feature , standing stones and gravel and planted up selected areas with plantings .Attractive, no weeding and no mowing. The back garden is given over to veg. and herbs. No mowing - it's a mugs game. I have a patio area to sit out on when I want to. Chamomile lawns are good too, if you don't like mowing but they take a while to establish.

ages ago it is about a foot long because somebody stole my lawn mower out of my back garden.
I took the chance of being electrocuted...and cut the very long wet grass on Sunday.
6am this morning
7 days ago, it now needs cutting again..

About 2 weeks ago, but I may cut it today if I get out there before it rains!
Some 3-4 weeks ago. Everytime it starts to look dry and I say "I'll cut the grass" the heavens open - you can put all the blame on me folks.
I doubt the lawn mower will cope with it, if it ever stops raining long enough in Worcestershire to be able to start tackling it.
To be honest i wouldn't do it!! With it been so went the ground is really wet!! i would just leave!! My law is really long at the moment!!

Every time I have tried again it has rained and I have a smallholding with camping areas for casual campers and have to cut over an acre but it 'really' needs cutting.
but the good news is that as long as the rain keeps up no one will want to camp on it
So I do not suppose it matters that much and i am off the hook

about 4 wks ago. it's been so warm and dry the grass hasn't grown much in my area of delaware.
i might cut the front next week or at least trim it with the weed whacker.

I cut my grass towards the end of last week when we had one dry day It really needed cutting

the last time we never had any rain which is...god so long ago i cant remember any way must have been that long ago its now turned into a jungle
10 years ago. Why cut grass?
--Grass is a living ecosystem, not a carpet. So it should support biodiversity. An unmowed lawn grows wildflowers and butterflies. And it doesn't poison the neighbors' wells.
--Lawn mowers are a huge unneccessary contributor to air pollution and global warming.
--Don't you have better things to with your life than cut grass that's just going to grow back anyway?
