Care for roses during summer?

Question:

Answers:
Spray with multirose - it prevents mildew and blackspot, as well as killing aphids (green and blackfly). Take off dead heads quickly to encourage further flowering.

Spray with Bayer rose spray and use Bayer Rose Fertilizer every 2 weeks. When you dead head your spent flowers, trim with sharp cutters just above a 5 leave cluster at a 45 degree angle. Water base of bushes not leaves in morning 2 or 3 times a week if dry. It helps if you have good rose bushes. I have found through trial and error that Jackson and Perkins are great. I have about 50 bushes
Basic care

Dead head the spent blossoms, for a second blooming in late August.

For a natural bug spray, boil garlic cloves and hot peppers in water, strain, cool and spray.

Mulch with pine needles. Feed every couple weeks with fish emulsion. Watch for black spots. prune dead areas away to prevent spread of mold.

Prune back in the spring (as the rose hips provide food for critters during the winter).
