Coconut can't survive at freezing point 32 degree F, but can I use?

Question:I am living in Zephyrhills, FL where a couple days in winter temperature dropped to 30degree for few hours a night.
At cold night, can I wrap x-mas light around it to keep it warm?
can I use a couple 100watts light to keep it warm? is it works?
based on my research, it will die if below 30degree. But I love coconut juice so much. (((Freaking sweetbay/Publix sell at $2.49/each. too expensive. $1/each is more reasonable. :) )))

Answers:
I have used Christmas lights and 60 watt bulbs to keep my citrus trees warm on cold nights in California. HOWEVER, in order to keep the heat in, you need to wrap/drape your tree with blankets (with the lights on the inside!). This is kind of a pain with my dwarf citrus (max height 9 feet). The coconut trees that I have seen in the tropic grow a LOT taller than that!! I think that this would be MOST difficult!

Maybe you can find a way to buy coconuts wholesale or by the case!!

Good Luck!!

- The 100W light bulbs have potential to work. We used to use them to keep young live chickens from freezing, and we use them in a pump house to keep that water from freezing.

- The X-Mas lights will not be as effective as the wattage (and heat output) is so low. They mught look nice, though.

- Covering plants with a coarboard box works surprising well. Making a tent out of plastic or blanket would have similar results.

- 100 W light bulbs combined with the cardboard box could result in a fire hazard. Use common sense.
