How do you get rid of a skunk that lives in your backyard?

Question:it lives behind my house and i cannot get it to leave and it sticks like skunk at the end of the yard

Answers:
Call your state trappers association. They have experienced people that do this for a living and can remove it without too much trouble or expense.

very, very carefully unless you really, really like tomato juice.

seriously...you could try a live trap, but you would probably get sprayed when you approached it to relocate it. That's a tough one.me, personally would probably let it be and hope it finds a better place somewhere else and moves on eventually.

Set up a sprinkler nearby and turn it for short periods throughout the day. A wet home is far less appealing than someone else's nice, dry yard. Don't surprise it suddenly or that end of the yard will reek! Turn the sprinkler on low, then turn up the water to sprinkle the area. Every time you see it leave, move the sprinkler closer to its hideout.

It may have babies, though, so don't get close at all. Not only do skunks spray, they have sharp claws/teeth. (It might have rabies.)
