I recently had mice in my house and put poison pebbles.?
Question:the thing is i found a lot of maggots on the dead mice. what should i do about the smell, maggots, and the flies all around the house?

first of all open all windows and air out the house . about the maggots, sweep them up and flush them.Fly swatters are used to get rid of flies.Use it like a base ball bat swing when you think you can hit one!
Spray it with rubbing alcohol this kills everything. Get a few Wal-Mart bags and use as a glove, grab and cover and throw away out side. Spay more Rubbing alcohol, or dump it on it however you want to do it.Use an old rag throw away rag to clean up mess. May want to use those Wa-Mart bag as a glove if you don't have any disposable one, This sanitizes the area. I would vomit but I would have to do it , because nobody else around here would.
Oh Flies. Let me tell you this... Use the sticky thing you hang from the ceiling. Get a fly swater kill those flie they are disease on wings. Clean you house with proxide or alcohol. If you want to kill any of those eggs that have been laid.
Also This might sound crazy but it works. Hang Zip lock water bags in front of your door. I staple my bag. Looks ugl but hey I hate flies worse. No flies will come in, and if one does use the old fly swatters. I hate flies so bad, I would almost trash a house trying to kill one. LOL
LOL one more thing ...the smell Sorry for editing so much but I use oil incenses, at Wal -Mart it will also get rid of smell fast put in a burner or just put in in something open. You might also want to spray with Lysol. Kills germs as well ...soak the area though.
use mouse/rat traps next time. or sticky rat traps. dont worry it will go away in a week or so...lesson learned.
I had mice off and on in my home cause I live in the country. It is important to look for places they may be getting in and seal them. I have used poisons when I was desperate cause I would rather have a stinky dead mouse than a live one any day! The sticky traps work great, just remember to check them often or you will end up with the same problem you are having now. Baking soda absorbs smells. Place an open box near the smelly area and in no time the smell will be gone.
Last summer a cat adopted me. He loves to catch little mice, moles and bugs. I do not have a mice problem anymore.
PS I did teach the cat to go outside to do his business since I can not stand the idea of a litter box.

you'll be cleaning up carcases everywhere. they say they will go outside to find water and then die, but I have a huge pool out back and they never leave the house. they get in the walls, your appliances, anywhere they can fit and then they die, sometimes they are hard to find and they stink horribly. the smell will go away. you can spray a germicide around that helps alittle, you can get it at Lowe's or home depot. I cant use the traps anymore, because the mice at my house are getting smart. I always use the sticky traps. and/or I use liquid peppermint on cotton balls and put them where I know they hang out, they don't like it and they leave.

get rid of dead mice, that's why u had maggots now flies. i use bug spray on maggots before they change. air freshener helps some.

THROW THEM IN THE GARBAGE
clean everything, get rid of the mice, maggots and the smell will go too. then always be on the lookout for mice.
