Why don't ants walk in a straight line?

Question:

Answers:
For the same reason we don't build straight roads.

Sometimes it's just easier to go around...

Bacause the ants follow a scent trail laid down by the first ant to discover the food. That ant was ambling in its search, so the rest amble on the same line.
because they're blind and they just follow a scent to their food
An ant always walks along its longitudinal body axis and favors it frontal retina for viewing and path control.
Who says they don't ? I have seen ant trails in the jungle (leafcutters I believe) that looked really straight to me.
Except for soldiers in a formation, I don't think I've ever seen any creature walk in a straight line. Its just not natural. People don't, just watch them.
They are actually drunk because of the parties they have at night!!
cause their hands are at their sides and their feet are pointing the other way..
because they dont know where they are going
