Is there a best time of day to apply feed to plants please?
Question:
Answers:
You can feed them anytime of day,but if the sun is shining you must leave it till late at night or feed them first thing in the morning...Never feed or water plants when the sun is shineing as it will burn them so always do it when it has gone in at night or first thing in the morning..Good luck with your plants..
any watering or feeding is best done early evening, never water in full sun, it can scorch the leaves, good luck
If it is a foliar spray (diluted in water, etc.), I prefer to do it early in the morning or when the sun goes down. It gives the leaves time to dry up before the night.
If you are applying pellets to the soil, time really does not matter
yeah...they say the best time is either very early in the morning or late in the evening...I prefer evening. They suggest it 'cause it's not to hot outside at those times of the day !
Morning irrigation is the best. I know alot of cities have water restrictions that let you water early morn, or late in the evening. The reason watering at night or early evening is
not a good idea is
the ground and leaves on the plant do not have time to dry, the ground is wet and this leads to fungal problems and dampness on the leaves and mulch leads to snails, which can cause a big problem especially if you have a plant they like, when the leaves of a plant is allowed to stay wet over night this can lead to root rot or powdery mildew, all kinds of fungus, it is just not smart to water at night. Do you plants a favor and let them go to sleep with dry leaves and roots not wet ones.
