Lemon trees?

Question:I live in what is considered zone 4. Will I be able to plant a lemon tree?

Answers:
The only way that you can grow a lemon tree in your Zone (the minimum temps are 30 degrees to -20 degrees) would be to grow your tree in a container and take it inside in the winter. You will want to get a dwarf tree. Keep the container in a warm spot in your yard in the summer (like next to a south facing fence or wall).

Lemon trees like it warm and cannot tolerate freezing weather!!

Good Luck!!

Yes, lemon trees can be grown in nearly all areas as they are as tough as nails. They need a bit of extra water during the hot weather and need frosts to ripen the fruit.
Here are two articles I found for you... I looked, because I have been wanting to invest in a lemon tree, also. I have heard that they do very well as potted plants (howbeit a large pot) so that they can be brought into the house during freezing weather.
