Has anyone every had their lawn have a brown cast to it in spots. I don't mean dry.?

Question:Lawn is green with brown shading. What do you do about it?

Could it be the type of grass, possibly Zoysia grass?

The brown spots are a fungus.First rake & airiate the lawn. Airiate means to puncture holes in the ground. Then go to your local farm store , hardware store or a garden center.Ask for a antifungal spray.Apply liberally on & around the affected area. Hope this helps.

Do you have a dog? or can other dogs get to your lawn. Dog urine can burn your lawn.

The other thing that can do that, is grubs live in the soil under the lawn and eat the roots causing the lawn to go brown.

Or maybe someone accidentally spilt lawn mower fuel on your lawn.

If it's none of the above then best thing to do to get your lawn green again is to buy lawn food (super phosphate) spread it around and give it a good watering.
