Can a normal push reel mower, be used on a backyard putting green?

Question:Most of the articles that I have read you need to have a special push reel mower for your putting green, So I was wondering if a cut height of 1/2 in. with a normal push reel mower would be able to cut down to a 3/16 or 1/4 if I was just to mow more frequently?

Yes a push reel mower is the BEST thing for your putting green. Golf courses use them to mow greens by using a push reel mower.

Check the heighth of the blades in a "test area" and make any necessary adjustments. Also keep your blades razor sharp at all times...
