What is easiest way to water the grass?
Question:I don't want to stand there holding the hose.
Answers:
Probably the easiest way is to get a sprinkler, depending how big your lawn is, you may need more than one. Watering in the morning before 10am is the best time to water! This is when the wind is light and the air is cooler. Watering at night is ok, but there is a greater chance for fungal disease becasue the air is usually still and no evaporation off the grass.
Remember this rule of thumb: water deep and infrequent!
Watering your lawn a little bit every day will cause the roots to stay close to the top, making the lawn weaker. Watering heavy 1-2 times a week will cause the roots to grow deep and therefore you will have a stronger lawn.
sprinklers?
you can get a sprinkler with a battery operated timer at your local home improvement/ garden center. you attach it to the hose, turn it on, and it twirls around for you. depending on the size and shape of your property you either have to move it a few times, or you can set up a few of them to run at the same time to cover different areas..
Easiest way is let God do it...Rain requires nothing from you!
Marie. The easiest way is to get a sprinkler hose, put it on lawn, and water at night.Just leave the hose on all night. If you really want the best, you can buy a water timer from garden center, and this will turn hose on and off.You don't need to do a thing(except get it cut now and then).
Best way is when it rains you need not do anything

get sprinklers.
attach a spinkler and turn it on
automatic sprinklers
WELL U HAVE 3 OPTIONS,
spend atleast 650$ on a sprinkler system...
spend 20BUCKS on a waterhose sprinkler
or pay a kid to water your lawn daily, either way, youre going to kick back with a beer, cheers
do you actually want to cut the lawn?
i dont, water enough to keep alive
forget enough to let die so you dont have to mow
position a sprinkler and buy a cheap timer.
set it to turn on at 5am for 30 minutes everyday on very hot days during the summer.
but then you'll have a healthy happy and vigourous lawn. which means mowing weekly, at least.
short of hiring someone to do THAT, you might want to either get a robot mower (they're amazing!), replace your lawn with hardy and drought tolerant ground cover or else keep your lawn a little stressed which means less water but not totally dead
that is really the best was as lawns can be water and time hogs. the grass may go yellow in the summer but it'll be just fine and rejuvenate when the autumn rain returns.
you choose.
Soaker hose. Cheap and won't cause the soil run-off you might see with some sprinklers.
