Just finished dead heading my forlorn roses. They look OK, do you think we will have a good second show.?

Just seen report that 'our' summer high pressure has begun to gradually shift from the Azores, to where it should be, over our islands. So all is not lost, I've got a spring back in my step already, I'll go out and do mine now. The blooms have been grotty this (summer), but there are loads of growth and the plants look quite healthy, with plenty of new buds. So YES, I think we will get a grand 2nd show, and hopefully a 3rd.

Yeah sure you will. mine have bloomed themselves stupid and are still coming back for more even though the weather has not been too great- The rain has ruined a few flower heads which I lopped off Morticia style (Adams Family). I love roses they are my favourite flowers although susceptible to black spot and rust
I hope so. I am in the same boat.

I also used the wrong kind of bug killer and I lost a lot of leaves.

I watered, leaves and all, the heck out of it and refertizerized it.

I used double the suggest dosage. Now all we need is lots of sun and a little luck.
Yes, as long as you pruned just above a leaf with five-leaflets on it. That's the key to getting roses to rebloom again with success.
