Can anyone suggest a good companion plant to deter cabbage white on Brassicas?
Question:I know I could use mesh, but it looks unsightly and I really don't want to spend my hectic days picking off catterpillas!! I have tried garlic with broad beans which has been very successful!

I think cabbage whites are scent guided - so something smelly - maybe plant garlic, onions, and some herbs like rosemary, lavender, sage?

Try chives or garlic as companion plants for your cabbage problems. Chives are faster growing than garlic and are virtually cut and come again.
