I am not sure of any plants that snails and slugs don't like, but I do know there are many natural ways to get them to avoid your garden. Smash up egg shells and sprinkle them around your plants, they will avoid this area because their soft underbodies get cut up. This also fertilizes your garden as the egg shells break down. I have also heard of using ashes from a fire, they can be sharp too. You can also put grapefruit shells out in the garden, upside down and you will have to change them daily. You just pick them up and throw them away. Do this in the morning as they will crawl in there when the sun comes out and starts warming things up. There will be slugs and snails in them so you want to make sure they don't have a way to escape your trash back into your garden. Hope this helps.
Snails usually hide during the day under debris. Try and take out the mulch and replace it. Ruin their hiding place and you may give them a good boot. Beer in a shallow dish also attracts them. Also look for Diamotaceous earth. It is like powder to us but crushed glass to them.
If you have potted flowers, you can keep snails away by putting some copper wire around the pots. Apparently they cannot cross the wire; the copper does something to them that they don't like so they won't venture acroos it.
My favorite way to battle snails is with beer. Snails love it but they can't handle their liquor. A small amount in a very small dish ( the lid from a pickle jar works great) placed near your plants will soon fill with dead snails. Shouldn't be enough beer to hurt your dog. Good luck!!
