Ants around peach tree? Fruits small/unsweet? Help?

Answers:
Try to ask a gardener.

You may have an infestation of aphids. Ants actually farm them rather than eat them, so that may be why the ants are there. Get some "Tanglefoot" and put a 4" band of the stuff around the trunk of the tree. It's sticky, and the ants get caught in it. See if the leaves are curled. If so, it could be aphids, or it could be something else. Put a few of the curled leaves in a sealable plastic baggie, and take them to your area extension office. They can tell. (Call a professional gardener or the chamber of commerce for the number if you can't find it.) An orchardist can also tell. You may need to have your tree sprayed to get rid of whatever it is, and you will need to know what before selecting the stuff to spray.
